Green and White with Pride: Independence Day at TDS
Songs, speeches, music and national colours filled our school as we celebrated Pakistan's Independence Day.

On 14 August 2021, The Democratic School came alive in green and white as learners and teachers celebrated Pakistan's Independence Day.
The programme featured national songs, speeches, poetry, musical performances and tableaux. Learners of all ages took part, from our youngest Early Years children in festive dress to older students who delivered speeches with confidence and pride.
Celebrating our national identity sits comfortably alongside the IB's emphasis on international-mindedness. Learners who understand and value their own culture are best placed to appreciate and respect the cultures of others.
Pakistan Zindabad! We thank our learners and teachers for a memorable celebration.
