The MYP Learning Showcase: projects driven by passion

Each stall told the story of one student’s independent project, from the first question to the final reflection.

In the Middle Years Programme, students plan and complete independent projects driven by their own interests. At the MYP Learning Showcase, every learner designed a stall for their Personal Project. They walked visitors through their process journals and answered questions about their research, their creative choices and the Approaches to Learning skills they had built along the way. MYP musicians performed between conversations, and the evening became a celebration of independence, originality and reflection. Ask any MYP student what they learned from their project. The answer is rarely only the topic. It is how to manage time, how to recover from a setback, and how to explain an idea to a stranger.
